![]() ![]() I’m having a weird problem where my MacBook Pro is refusing to connect to certain mainstream websites, which have always worked fine in the past. Why is my Mac refusing to open certain websites? Hi, I'm normally quite savvy with computers but this has me stumped. WiFi shows me connected to the internet and gives me an IP address. I'm unable to upgrade either because I can't access internet. The version of Firefox that I'm using is 89.0. I don't use a VPN or a proxy, and since the problem has surfaced I've been trying to fiddle with proxy settings (as was suggested by people troubleshooting based on the error message) without success. The error message is consistent between browsers: on Firefox it's pr_end_of_file_error no matter what website I'm connecting to. I have turned off and back on my MacBook as well as my browser multiple times. This is even after turning off Firewall and erasing any changes that I made to it. Since then I've had persistent problems with connecting to the internet. ![]() Songs from the Apple Music catalog cannot be burned to a CD.Internet connectivity problems after playing with Firewall - even after turning off Firewall I tried experimenting with my Macbook's Firewall and tried turning Firewall on for one application. ![]() iTunes-compatible CD or DVD recorder to create audio CDs, MP3 CDs, or backup CDs or DVDs.Internet connection to use Apple Music, the iTunes Store, and iTunes Extras.Screen resolution of 1024x768 or greater 1280x800 or greater is required to play an iTunes LP or iTunes Extras. To play 1080p HD video, a 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo or faster processor, 2GB of RAM, and an Intel GMA X4500HD, ATI Radeon HD 2400, or NVIDIA GeForce 8300 GS or better is required. To play 720p HD video, an iTunes LP, or iTunes Extras, a 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo or faster processor, 1GB of RAM, and an Intel GMA X3000, ATI Radeon X1300, or NVIDIA GeForce 6150 or better is required. To play standard-definition video from the iTunes Store, an Intel Pentium D or faster processor, 512MB of RAM, and a DirectX 9.0–compatible video card is required.PC with a 1GHz Intel or AMD processor with support for SSE2 and 512MB of RAM. ![]()
